I am Hilda Spann and I have been rescuing dogs and puppies and cats and kittens for 20 years. Over the years I have worked with rescues in the Twin Cities, Minnesota and in Chautauqua County, New York.
Most of my work has been in my home were I foster animals either because the rescues have no room or they want me to socialize the animals.
I come by this passion naturally. While I was growing up my parents took in stray or homeless dogs and cats. However, they also took in injured wild life and rehabilitated them. This was a great example for me.
The purpose of this website is to share my experiences and photos with you. I plan to share things I have learned, tell my stories and maybe inspire you to help animals.
If you wish to subscribe, you will receive a an email notification when I post a new blog. Feel free to comment and ask questions and I will attempt to answer you. If I have to do research, I will site my sources so you can read them first hand.
I am not a veterinarian or veterinary assistant although I have often helped in the vet’s office with one of my fosters and also have had to do “veterinary assistant” type care at home such as administering medication and bandaging.
