Faith baby precious Faith came back

One problem I have seen with rescues that are not extremely well organized with strict rules, is that cats can suffer. The rescue that had me foster Faith’s litter was not organized well yet. Faith was adopted out to a family without the rescue asking for a vet reference. She was returned back full grown with a horrible flea infestation because the husband “didn’t like her.” We bathed her with flea shampoo; you pretty much have to with that many fleas. She was a gentle cat, remembered me and was sweet with the other animals in the household. It was hard to say good bye to her again but this time she went to a family with glowing references.

Many shelters in my area do “home checks” now to make sure their animals are going to good homes. The home visit includes meeting with all members of the household.
