Funny Cat on Shelves
When my rescue cat Miss Bruce became ill I was worried that the number of cats in the house was becoming too stressful especially to the more timid ones. The solution, according to Jackson Gallery on an episode of “My Cat From Hell,” was to create more space for them to spread out. So my husband* built shelves on the east, west and north walls of the living room. This is one of our biggest rooms and one where we spend most of our time. Ironically, Miss Bruce of all the cats uses the shelves the least but they did help the other cats spread out. We discovered quickly that as balanced as cats are they could relax too much or go to fast and fall off. So the shelves were promptly carpeted. The pictures included here are of Blaze, a feral rescue, who has the agility and grace of a Siamese. He loves to sleep on the shelves. Below is a photo of him where he has flattened out his sleek physique to where you can hardly see him.
