Lydia’s Cat Rescue

Before Lydia’s litter, I had only bottle-fed singleton orphans. One of the rescuers brought me a litter of five between 2-3 weeks old back in 2003. It would take me 45 minutes to feed, clean and potty all five. In a couple, hours I would start all over. Below is Lydia. She was identical to her sister except for the little spot underneath her right nostril.

Lydia stood out in another way. She would not settle down, concentrate and suck at the bottle. She took the longest and was the hardest to feed. I think our long struggle cemented our relationship. She wasn’t adopted and wasn’t adopted so I adopted her as my third cat. To this day she insists on eye contact and laying in my arms the way she did when bottle fed. She is a beautiful big medium coat cat.

Great story and I have seen this cat in person and she is truly a sweet heart.

She loves laying on our bathroom counter and being brushed. Only trouble is when I go in she is always there wanting her brushing.
